What Happened in Vegas.....

On our way!

Stopped to eat at Stateline

Mandalay Bay here we come!

Finally!! Our suite!

Kids room

Main room

Another bedroom

We barely set our suitcases down before heading off to the Shark Reef inside Mandalay Bay

A HUGE lizard...and Linda and Sidney, too!

Weird looking thing

Stingrays we could touch

Now that is a big shark!

Finished off Day One with frozen yogurt and crepes

Steven chose sweet and Kennidy shose savory (on the right)

Yum!

And Sidney chose a cupcake!

Day Two started with a tram ride!

Then a walk through a smoky casino. Yuck! Well...it is Vegas.

Then outside to the strip for a LONG walk

Sidney liked the sights

Kennidy under the Statue of Liberty replica

Sid, Steven and Linda pose with Bumblebee and some other guy. Man what people will do for a couple bucks! We tipped each of these guys $5. This is a $10 picture!!! They earned it though in those hot suits when it was 113 degrees outside.

Daddy's favorite show! NCIS

Linda, Kennidy, Steven and Remberto experienced the CSI exhibit

Of course no kid trip to Vegas would be complete without a visit to the crowded M&M store and.......

.....the over-priced Coke store

Walking back to the hotel we stopped inside the New York New York hotel and Steven and Kennidy.......

...survived the roller coaster! They loved it!

Day Three started off with another tram ride. Thank goodness for those air conditioned trams!

Kids played video games

We saw the strip at night!

Day Four we finally hit the pool (and good thing because it started raining the next day!)
Sidney jumps to daddy!

Then it was back out onto the strip......

.....and up to the top of the Eiffel Tower replica

What a view!

Sidney wasn't so sure of this at first, but then really enjoyed the view!

Looking down onto the Bellagio

Back down on solid ground. Phew!

We are a couple of pooped out parents here!  :)

Junior Nationals

Kennidy's Club West volleyball team joined 29 other qualified teams in their age group in Columbus, Ohio, for the Junior National Volleyball Championships (formerly called the Junior Olympics). Her team entered the national competition in 4th place. Matches started July 2nd. By the end of competition on July 5th, their team ended up tied for 7th place nationwide. They made an amazing journey and enjoyed the opportunity to have qualified and compete on a national level.
I will update with more pictures once available.  :)

Saying goodbye at the airport

Funny team photo

Not a good swimmer

Look what Sidney and Remberto found in the gutter box of our pool! They pulled her out of the water and wrapped her up in a towel. She stayed wrapped up for about 3 hours and then hopped out, shook her feathers loose and flew off.

Flightdeck

For his birthday this year, I got Remberto 2 passes to experience Flightdeck in Anaheim, CA.

Remberto and Johnny got to experience flying F-16 fighter jets and Christine and I got to watch them dog fight against 7 others. They have real cockpits that each pilot gets to get into and huge screens to project their simulated experience.

Happy Birthday to Us!

For our birthday weekend we went to Morton's for dinner then to Montana's for some dancing!  It worked out well because we were able to celebrate both our actual birthdays with friends at Montana's. We got there when it was still officially my birthday and we left after it had turned to Remberto's birthday!
