Pool Time!

Last week we had an awesome afternoon of swimming and BBQ with my cousin, Jacqui, her husband, Ryan, and their three boys: Ryan, Caden and Keegan.

Kennidy, Caden, Linda, Steven and Ryan prepare to amaze us

I circled the ball (in black) that Ryan is about to catch

We all had a great time playing in the pool and eating!! Looking forward to doing it again before the summer escapes us!

Dog Days of Summer

Had to add these....must be nice to "hanging" out all day!!

Look At Me Growing Up

Sidney is 21 months...going on 4 years old. She is quite a smarty.  Look what I caught her doing the other morning.......

She sees mommy working at the desk and she wanted to take an Avon order, too! She even "wrote" on some of my paperwork. Hmmmmm.....we are working on not climbing on mom's desk anymore.

Playing with dishes is a much better activity

My first "pig-tails"

Here's the back of my head!

An Evening with Looney Tunes at the Bowl

Celebrating 20 years of Bugs Bunny on the concert stage, this brand new edition of Looney Tunes and live orchestra adds classics like Tweet and Lovely and A Scent of The Matterhorn, plus special guests Tom and Jerry in The Hollywood Bowl and The Flintstones, and Scooby-Doo...plus old favorites like What's Opera, Doc? and The Rabbit of Seville in this world premiere anniversary concert of Warner Bros. cartoons on the big screen with their exhilarating scores played live!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a rare treat it was to have an evening out without Sidney. Don't get me wrong, I love that little lady, but for sanity's sake, an evening out was just what the doctor ordered! I must give thanks where thanks is due so...thank you to Mom and Dad for inviting me and Kennidy for the evening AND a super-special thanks to my brother, Jamie, for hanging out with Sidney for the evening.

As we neared the Bowl, our driver (Dad) got a bit turned around with the exact directions to the entrance so, naturally, we stopped and asked for guidance from a man in pajamas who was walking his dog.  Interesting, but informative. We quickly re-routed and easily found our destination.

Since we had box seats, Mom and Dad brought dinner with all the fixin's and we ate with the ambiance of the Hollywood Bowl surrounding us. (Yum).

As the show began (picture was taken by my cell phone so it's not the greatest)

Fireworks, too!

We all had ALOT of fun...oh...and I can't forget to mention that George Lopez was sitting a few rows in front of us!!

PS--just in case you were wondering, Jamie had an easy and enjoyable evening, too. He played with Sid for about an hour until it was her bedtime, then he was delivered dinner by Ashley and spent the remainder of the evening watching movies. Not a tough gig after all!!  Phew...maybe he'll agree to come back again for a repeat!!  :)

Birthday Celebrations Continue

Once we were home safe and sound, Remberto's parents wanted a piece of the birthday action. They had us over for dinner the night after we got back from Cancun to further celebrate Linda and Steven's birthdays.

Run For the Border

In case you haven't heard, the Candelario Crew recently enjoyed a week of fun and sun in Cancun!

Here are the kiddos at 5:30am on our day of departure

Linda and Sidney get ready to fly!

We made it! Here the kiddos are posing in front of a poster of Cancun that we found at the airport when we arrived

On the shuttle to our hotel...and no...Sidney is not asleep. She is blinking which is the closest she came to sleeping during our entire 11 hours of travel

The lobby area of our hotel

View from our room

I had to take this shot..in order for Sidney to stay put in her crib and not see me and cry to get out, we wrapped her crib with the heavy curtain for naps and at night. It was like she had her own private suite.  :)

Sidney is showing you her favorite Cancun entree

Family shot taken right before Linda's birthday dinner

Japanese food in Cancun? Oh yes...and it was yummy!  Linda chose the "Samurai" restaurant for her 10th birthday dinner.

Sidney got her face painted!

Kennidy, Linda, Steven and I got to swim with the dolphins!! They didn't allow cameras inside so this is the best I could do.

We went to a waterpark and Sidney bobbed around in her lifevest

The hotel even had mini-golf

Linda and Kennidy went parasailing together...this is before they took off

Remberto and Steven also went parasailing

Linda competed in a "surfing" contest held in the main pool of the hotel

Steven also had a birthday while we were in Cancun. He turned 9 and he chose the same restaurant for dinner as Linda had chosen...the Samurai. We even had the same waiter (Antonio) and he took real good care of us both nights. I even got my own bottle of champagne this night. Yum!

Steven did a face plant into his birthday cake

Our hotel ALSO had waterslides

AND it had a pirate ship

We all had a spectacular time! Now....Remberto and I need a vacation!! :)
